DenizBank’s customers want a fast, flawless and customized experience. To meet these demands, the bank needs insightful data and scalable technology platforms. “We’ve always put our customers first, and we don’t want that to change as we expand,” explains Hakan Ates, CEO at DenizBank.

Denizbank also wanted to simplify their backups. The bank needs to keep their data from anywhere from 5 years to indefinite retention. Using tape libraries they were using over 1200 tapes per year, which was costly and restoring from them was complex and time-consuming.
DenizBank and its IT division, InterTech, worked with Hitachi Vantara to create a new storage infrastructure for the bank’s critical customer data. Based on the Hitachi infrastructure, the solution includes Hitachi Ops Center, which helps simplify management and optimize performance. The bank also uses Hitachi Global Active Device (GAD) and Hitachi Universal Replicator (HUR) for business continuity and disaster recovery.
Hitachi Vantara’s professional services team assisted with the implementation and data migration to ensure a smooth transition. With the active-active solution, the bank can seamlessly failover in the event of a site outage with minimal impact to users and zero data loss.
